Parque Acuático Mijas is a small water park located near Fuengirola just 20 minutes from Marbella right beside A7 Costa de Sol motorway.
The park has more pools for young kids (like the very placid baby pool with water fountains and the lazy river) than hectic slides like Kamikaze – a 15 meters high slide for the braver amongst you – or Adventure River and Labyrinth Slides. The park also offers a small wave pool attraction, a rock climbing wall, mini golf, bar, self-serve restaurant, gift shop, massage services, and performance stage for live shows.
The park it’s a bit pricey at 21,15 adults with online discount or 80 Euro entry for four people (includes 2x kids) plus you have to pay extra costs for sun loungers, lock box for valuables, double inflatable (generally 4-5 € each). Purchasing the ticket on the internet you can get discounts both for adults, children, retired and families, including other promotions. Also there are several rides which require you to use inflatables. You can either hire your own inflatable or you can use the free ones available on the slide, though the lines for these can get quite long when the park gets busy. So for a family of 4 expect to pay almost 100€ for a day which is quite expensive.
Food at the park is fast and utterly without a shred of nutritional value (with the possible exception of the juice bar) and very expensive for what is offered. Fortunately there is a pic nic area so you can bring your own food.
Also the park gets very crowded in August so expect long queues for all 3 or 4 major attractions.
The parking lot is very small and is located in a residential area but it’s free of charge and there’s a shuttle bus from Fuengirola bus station every 30 mins. Journey time is about 10 minutes.
Although there are better options nearby (like Aqualand in Torremolinos) Parque Acuático Mijas is a good but expensive day out if you plan vacations in the Marbella area.
