Noah’s Ark water park in Wisconsin Dells, United States is the self proclaimed “America’s Largest Waterpark”. Located next door to Mt. Olympus the park opens each year from Memorial Day weekend.
The small city of Wisconsin Dells known as the water park capital of the world has more than 28 water parks so if you attempt to Google it you will be bombarded with so many different water park options your head will spin. Well look no further: Noah’s Ark Water Park it by far our first choice with its 51 water slides, 2 huge wave pools, 2 endless rivers and 4 kiddie water play areas, including The Scorpion’s Tail (America’s first nearly vertical water slide loop), Black Anaconda (1/4-mile “watercoaster” that pushes you to 30mph – see video) and “Quadzilla” a four-lane mat racing ride.
The park that also offers a surprising number of dry attractions, including a 4-D Dive-In Theater, a dark ride called Curse of the Crypt, mini-golf, bumper boats, a kiddie roller coaster, and arcades. So, even if you do not like water parks Noah’s Ark still has lots of things for you to do and is worth a visit if you are in the area. Also, for some laid back time Noah’s Ark claims to have over 4,000 lounge chairs. This put thing in perspective as for park size.
The park is very well run the park was and the lifeguards took take duties seriously and are very quick to step in on any unsafe or unruly behavior. It makes everybody feel safe and comfortable. The queues are huge in the summer but due to the number of attractions and the size of the park this is a minor problem. Also, there are two sizes of lockers and for each size you can pay-per-lock or pay for all-day access with a $5 deposit. On the downside ticket prices and food stands could be an issue. Food Concessions are overpriced greatly and substandard. In the summer prices have skyrocketed (38.95 USD for adult and 28.95 USD for kids) and you have to also pay 10 USD for parking.
All in all Noah’s Ark rank’s as one of America’s top water parks rivaling with Disney water parks in Florida.
