Aqualandia is a Caribbean island themed water park located in Lido di Jesolo only a few miles away from Venice, Italy. Aqualandia opened in 1989 and it for several consecutive years the number 1 water park in Italy and one the best we ever visited in Europe.
The park covers 80,000 square metres and has 8 themed areas, 26 attractions of which many are aquatic, including the Spacemaker, the first slide to feature a virtual reality, but also the tallest bungee-jumping tower in Europe, professional shows and entertainment activities.Younger children can have fun in Funny Land while the rest of the family relaxes on the white sandy beaches and the daredevils try out the thrilling rides. Our visit to Aqualandia in June 2017 was great. The park is very clean, tidy and well run. Food is not a problem. You have lots of diversity. We eat Mexican and tropical fruits and juices are a must if you only want to have a snack.
A bit expensive though we paid 32 Euros per person at the gate. But the Caribbean experience with palm trees and soft white sand are priceless. They give you an electronic bracelet and pay for all the extras at the end: food, sunbeds, lookers, activities. We booked sunbeds with a brolly and mini safe for 8€ and it was a good decision to have all our stuff in one place.
VR slide was broken but the shows were very good. “The Tiki Show” was an excellent display of gymnastics and aerial silk skills but our favourite by far though was “The Jungle Show” tribal event. I have it on video and will show later on.
There is even a wave pool set in a sand fringed lagoon and some shows (like the Limbo show) are synchronised with the waves timetable.
The only word to describe Aqualandia is TOP!.
