Located in Tampa, Florida, United States of America, at just an hour away from Orlando, Busch Gardens Africa Theme Park alongside with its sister waterpark Adventure Island is a must for any Florida vacation due to its perfect mixture between nature and thrill.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is one of the largest zoos in North America, with its 335-acre (136 ha) and more than 2,000 animals representing 250 species and more than 30 threatened and endangered species in the park’s various animal habitats.
We went on a weekday October 2012 to avoid long lines in the major rides and even then the park was crowded. The only way to avoid this is to buy Quick Queue and bypass wait times at major and most popular attractions.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay brings guests face-to-face with more exotic and endangered animals than any destination outside of Africa. Keeper talks, interpretive exhibits and impromptu animal encounters on sidewalks are just some of the ways guests have the opportunity to learn about the animals in the parks’ care.
For thrill seekers this park has 4 main attractions, named Cheetah Hunt, Sheikra, Montu and Kumba. This rides are all based in the main characteristics of the animals they pay a tribute to.
Cheetah Hunt is the ultimate excitement of the Theme Park. It is a roller coaster experience as no other, as it simulates a Cheetah on the hunt for his prey over towering rises, breathtaking plunges and a trio of three amazing launches at speeds pushing 60 mph.
In 2014 the park opened Falcon’s Fury, North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower with 335 feet. The ride featuresa first-of-its-kind seating configuration. Once the gondola reaches the top of the tower, the seats will rotate 90 degrees to position riders face-down for a five-second drop at 60 mph.
In 2016 Cobra’s Curse, the snake-themed children spin rollercoaster, made its debut. The ride starts with a 70-foot rise to the top then drops down the rollercoaster first forward and then backward and spinning the carts at the same time.
In in all this this one of the most wonderful places in the world and i can’t wait get back!.
