Rovio is expanding its Angry Birds Activity Parks to the tropical Grand Canary Islands.
A new Angry Birds Activity Park opened in Gran Canaria, the most populous island of the Canary Islands, on Oct. 31, Rovio and its partner Holiday Club Resorts announced Tuesday. Covering an area of more than 5,000 square feet, the new Angry Birds Activity Park will feature a range of indoor and outdoor activities based on the uber-popular mobile game.
The new Gran Canaria Angry Birds Activity Park is the fourth between Rovio and Holiday Club resorts. The other three parks are located in Finland. Rovio has also opened Angry Birds theme parks in the U.K., Spain, and China. In the U.S., the company has Angry Birds Space Encounter parks at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida and the Space Center in Houston.
