Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and other venues will be competing for their attention.
Here’s what to look for.
AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC: A new gallery called “Wonders of the Deep” will debut May 24.
THE COVE: The 7 1/2-acre water park at Jurupa Aquatic Center will start its summer season on May 25 after a preview day for season pass-holders on May 24.
DISNEYLAND RESORT: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will open at 6 a.m. May 24 for an “all-nighter.”
On May 25, Disneyland will launch a new attraction, a 25-minute stage show in Fantasyland called “Mickey and the Magical Map.”
That same day, both parks will launch “Opa! A Celebration of Greece.”
KNOTT’S BERRY FARM: Three new rides will have a soft opening in the park’s Boardwalk on May 25 in advance of the park’s official summer launch on May 30, when Timber Mountain Log Ride reopens with a total makeover.
SAN DIEGO ZOO: Koalas and other marsupials, birds and reptiles from Down Under will have a new home in Conrad Prebys Australian Outback, opening May 24.
