Legoland Billund in Denmark turns 50 and to celebrate its anniversary a major expansion is already ongoing. This is what we know so far.
Renewed themed land: LEGOREDO Town. The Wild West where you can meet gun-slinging cowboys, gold-diggers and Indians will be totally revamped with a 2500m2 expansion, a new rollercoaster for the youngest and the popular recreation Lego Canoe is being refurbished.
Flying Eagle (Den Flyvende Ørn) roller coaster. The Flying Eagle will propel guests through a dramatic Rocky Mountains-inspired landscape. The ride begins by soaring 11 metres up in the air past the top of Ørneklippen (The Eagle Rock). From here, riders can spy the eagle mother watch over her chicks in the large eyrie. Moments later, the riders swoop down past the lakes and the LEGO animals before coming to a gentle halt at the platform.
Renewed park entrance gate.
Red Lego dinosaur. There will be a huge dinosaur to greet guests as they enter the park.
All changes are slated to open on March 24th 2018.
