Helix is a steel roller coaster located at Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden. The ride opened on 26 April 2014 and is the most impressive new rollercoaster in Europe in 2014.
The ride, built by Mack Rides, has it all: a Corkscrew, a LSM Launch, again a Corkscrew, a Norwegian Loop, a Zero-G Roll, another LSM Launch, a Top Hat, an Inside a In-Line Twist and more. Moreover, the steel roller coaster reaches a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) and features a 41 meter (135 foot)-tall dual-launch helix. The roller coaster’s station was built by the foot of the tower Atmosfear – the Gotemborg view it’s impressive!. The 1,381-meter-long track follows the hillside in a custom made track design with several near misses to other rollercoasters in the park. Helix is also the first roller coaster in the world that has a 1-on-1 replica virtual reality experience.
